veteran of nearly 100 local, regional and statewide political and referendum campaigns, Steve Fradkin is president and
creative director of the Canton advertising agency, The Wizard of Adz.
During the tumultuous 1970s, he was advertising manager for the world leading speaker's bureau. There, he was responsible for developing promotional literature for such internationally known political figures as Ralph Nader, Jesse Jackson, John Dean, Julian Bond and others. He founded The Wizard of Adz in 1978 with the late Representative Paul Goulston as a charter client. His advertising and graphics have been used in the campaigns of State Treasurer Shannon O'Brien, US Senator John Kerry, Norfolk District Attorney Bill Keating, State Senators Pam Resor and Brian Joyce, Lieutenant Governor nominee Marjorie Clapprood, Norfolk County Register of Deeds Paul Harold, and many more. He has taught Advertising Management at Northeastern University's Graduate School of Business, guest lectured at Stonehill, Emerson and Boston Colleges and several high schools, and presented a number of seminars on advertising. A member of the organizing committee for the Massachusetts Democratic Campaign Institute, he has taught political advertising at every DCI seminar since 1996. |
